Name of the posts:
1. Assistants, Inspector Central Excise/Preventive Officer/Examiner, Inspector of Income Tax, Assistant Enforcement Officer
2. Inspector of Posts, Statistical Investigators, Gr.II, Sub Inspectors (CBI), Divisional Accountants
3. Auditors, Junior Accountants/Accountants
4. Compiler, Tax Assistants, UDCs
Age limit: 18-27 years as on 15/04/2011 for the posts of Inspector of Income Tax/Inspector (Central Excise)/Inspector (Preventive Officer)/Inspector (Examiner)/Inspector of Posts/Assistant Enforcement Officer/Compiler/Divisional Accountant/ Auditors/ UDCs/Tax Assistants/Junior Accountant & Accountant, not exceeding 26 years as on 15/04/2011 for the posts of Statistical Investigator Gr.II, 20-27 years as on 15/04/2011 for the posts of Assistant/Sub Inspector in CBI, (Relaxation as per Govt rules).
Application Fee: Rs 100/- for general category (No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women and Ex-ser) fee will be paid only in the form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS), these stamps are available at the counter of all departmental post offices of the country. For the candidates who are applying online should pay in the branches of SBI through challan.
Selection procedure: The mode of selection is written test/interview/skill test/computer proficiency test.
How to apply: The interested candidates have to apply through online or offline.
Online application form: Candidates can apply these posts online from the website htt://ssconline.nic.in from 19/03/2011 to 12/04/2011 (5:00 pm), before apply online Candidates upload their photograph and signature.
Offline application form: Candidates may also apply offline in the prescribed format of application, candidates downloaded the application from the SSC website and filled the application in correct details, pasted a recent passport size photograph at space given in the application form, and send it along with necessary certificates to the respective address, on or before, 15/04/2011 (5 pm).
Important dates:
Opening date for online submission: 19/03/2011.
Closing date for online submission: 12/04/2011 (5:00 pm).
Last date for receipt of application: 15/04/2011 (5:00 pm).
Date of examination (Tier-I): 19/06/2011 and 26/06/2011.
Date of examination (Tier-II) likely to be held: 03/09/2011 and 04/09/2011.
