UPSC Online IFS Exam details:
Total no of posts: Approximately 85.
Age limit: Must have attained 21 years and must not have attained 30 years as on 01/07/2011, Relaxation as per Govt rules.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized university with at least one subject of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology (OR) Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry (OR) in Engineering (OR) an equivalent qualification.
Application Fee: Candidates applying online Rs 100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS) only, SC/ST/PH/Female candidates are exempted from payment of fee, who are applying offline Rs 200/- through single Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS), Fee exempted for SC/ST/PH/Female candidates.
How to apply: The interested candidates have to apply through online or offline.
Online Application Form: The interested candidates may apply through online from the website www.upsconline.nic.in, on or before 18/04/2011 till 11:59 pm.
Offline Application Form: (From candidates residing in specified remote areas only) The eligible candidates apply offline through prescribed format, that means new common application form, which can be purchased from designated Head Post Offices or Post Offices through out the country by cash payment of Rs 30/-, the candidates required to paste the postage stamp of Rs 6/- on the Acknowledgement card and send it along with application form, candidates duly filled in application form and acknowledgment card should then mailed in the special envelop, candidates should also write the name of the examination…”Indian Forest Service Examination, 2011 on the envelop, to the following address, on or before 25/04/2011, Controller of Examinations, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069 received by post/speed post only.
