Rajinikanth's next Movie is Sultan, Not Rana

Sultan - The Warrior is said to be with in both animation scenes and live and more interestingly Soundarya is planning to bring it out in 3D as well. Rajini will be seen in a new avatar as a warrior and also will be delivering some punch dialogues. The animation work will be done by Soundarya Rajinikanth's Ocher Studios.

The makers are planning to complete the film in a fast pace as it is been scheduled for an early 2012 release. The title of the film may go for a change and they are looking for suitable titles.

Sultan-The Warrior has a runtime of just 120 minutes. SFX whiz, Srinivas Mohan, who was associated with Rajini’s films such as Shivaji, Robot and soon to be started filming Rana, is also a part of Sultan-The Warrior.

Rajinikanth to perform his own stunts for Rana

“Yes, he will be performing his own stunts for the period drama Rana”, said director KS Ravi Kumar. The Superstar, who is currently recuperating at Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital, is keen on doing the stunts on his own rather than using a body double thus ending rumours that action sequences will be altered or done completely by a body double.

“Rajinikanth, who fell ill during the first schedule of Rana is keenly monitoring the progress of Rana”, said Ravi Kumar. In the meantime speculations regarding Rana’s script alteration are also brushed aside by Ravi Kumar by suggesting that Rana’s script is completely untouched and it would remain as Rajini wrote it.

The director is also not in a rush to start filming Rana. He wants Thalaivar to take all the rest he needs, before coming to sets completely fit. The shooting which is stopped temporarily will resume in September as opposed to June end, said Ravi. Right now for the maker the superstar’s health is paramount.

Rana with an estimated budget of over Rs 150 crores will see Rajini essaying three different roles.

Rajnikanth shifted to ICU

This has been done to improve his breathing pattern, a hospital press release said adding that the actor was showing positive response to treatment.

A multi-disciplinary team of doctors is busy closely watching his vital parameters to assess benefits from multi-pronged treatment strategies, it said.

Doctors said he was responding well to treatment.

Rajinikant, who suffered from viral fever and exhaustion recently, was admitted to SRMU at suburban Porur days after he was discharged from another hospital where he had been treated for allergic bronchitis and viral fever.

He had suffered from exhaustion on April 29, the first day of the shoot of his new period film ’Rana’ co-starring Deepika Padukone, which is being directed by K S Ravikumar.

He was admitted to Isabel Hospital in the city and discharged the same day, only to be readmitted there on May 4 for allergic bronchitis and viral fever.

His family had last week dismissed reports that his health had deteriorated.(PTI)

Superstar Rajni Discharged from Hospital!

South Superstar Rajinikanth has been discharged from the St Isabel Hospital in Chennai on Today (May 10th, 2011). He was admitted to the St Isabel Hospital for the second time on last Wednesday night for allergic bronchitis and high fever.

He was undergoing treatment for allergic bronchitis and high fever for the past few days in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at St Isabel Hospital. Now his health condition is improved and he is doing fine," S N Sai Kishore, a doctor at St Isabel Hospital had told reporters.

Earlier he was admitted to the ICU of the hospital after a bout of vomiting and was discharged in the evening. At that time, it was said that the actor fell sick after eating something in the sets of Rana.

Rajinikanth is currently shooting for his latest film ’Rana’, in which he plays a triple role. The movie launch day onwards Rajnikanth facing the health problems, he was first hospitalized on the first day of Rana movie was launched.

Rajinikanth’s Rana launched Today!

South super star Rajinikanth’s new film titled "Rana" was launched today at AVM studios in a simple manner, without much hype. In this film Rajinikanth will be seen in triple roles and the film will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.

The latest buzz is that from Rajini’s triple roles one of the Rajini will be seen in a negative shade role like his earlier film Robo, where Rajni fought with Rajni. As per the sources Rajini’s negative role would be a devilish villain and will remind the scenes of ’Robo’.
